Kaitlyn
Venue Coordinator
Originally from Pennsylvania, Kaitlyn, though most people call her Kait, has called Fernandina Beach home for nine years. She brings years of service industry experience and a lifelong love of hosting to her role as The Pavilion’s head coordinator. From weddings and music festivals to birthdays, corporate gatherings, and everything in between, Kait gives every event the same attention, energy, and care. She wears many hats, jumps in wherever she’s needed, and usually has a joke ready when the pressure is on.
Having also served as maid of honor in a wedding at The Pavilion, Kait understands how much the little details matter to both hosts and guests. Past clients have called her “incredibly responsive,” praised her attention to detail, and even described her as “a lifesaver.”
During an event, you’ll see Kait working hard while never forgetting to have fun along the way. She loves laughing and taking photos with guests, encouraging everyone onto the dance floor, and making sure the celebration feels as joyful as it should. Chances are, you’ll catch her singing along or sneaking in a few dance moves while she works.
Away from work, you’ll find Kait in her garden, cruising the island with her husband, hanging with her pups, or finding any excuse to gather with friends and family, especially if there’s a party and a good theme involved.
ROB
Head Chef
Rob’s culinary journey began at just 16 years old at Joe’s Second Street Bistro in downtown Fernandina Beach. What started in the dish pit quickly grew into a passion for cooking and a career built on hard work, dedication, and a love for great food.
During his six years at Joe’s, Rob worked his way through nearly every position in the kitchen, from washing dishes and preparing ingredients to working the pantry and grill. Along the way, he had the opportunity to learn from several talented chefs, including the original Chef Joe Robucci, whose mentorship helped shape his culinary foundation.
Rob continued to build his experience in some of the area’s most recognized kitchens. He ran the breakfast kitchen at the original K.P.’s Deli before joining Cucina South, where he worked his way from sous chef to head chef, a position he held for three years. He later spent five years as head chef at Oyster Bay, developing weekly menus for members and overseeing the culinary side of weddings, corporate gatherings, and special events.
His journey eventually led him to Timoti’s, where he became a valued part of the team before taking on the exciting opportunity to help open both Baba’s Mediterranean and The Pavilion from the ground up.
Today, Rob has found a true passion for the catering and events side of the culinary world. He thrives on the excitement of weddings and large celebrations, enjoying the energy, the people, and the opportunity to be part of such meaningful occasions. From creating custom menus to preparing meals for hundreds of guests, Rob takes pride in making each dining experience special.
When he’s not in the kitchen, Rob enjoys spending time with his wife and son. Whether they’re traveling, swimming, exploring the outdoors, or cheering on the New York Giants, he values the time they spend together.
And when it comes to his own favorite food, Italian cuisine sits at the top of his list, especially a classic shrimp and scallop scampi.
